Upcoming Changes!

We are so excited as we will be opening in the Animal Shelter building following renovation located at:

413 McElroy Drive

Oxford, MS 38655

Transition Period

We will take over the Animal Control Services and Animal Shelter beginning on October 1, 2018.  During the transition, we will continue to be foster-based and ask for everyone's patience as we have to secure foster homes, before we can intake animals as we currently do not have access to the building at this time.  Updates will be posted as the progress is being made.

Noted Changes on Intake

Intake procedures will differ from previous years.  We will only serve the Oxford/Lafayette County community and WILL REQUIRE proof of being a Oxford/Lafayette County resident before we will do intake of an animal.  You will be required to show proof of residence by showing Driver's License, utility bill, or rent/lease contract.

Residents outside of the Oxford/Lafayette County should contact rescues/shelters within your community.

We Need Your Help!

We need to secure funding and all supplies for the offices, animals care, cleaning, kennels, and everything in between!  Please help by donating to help make the transition as smooth as possible for us to begin intake to move into the building!  All donations are tax deductible and you will be helping to save innocent lives while we provide the care they need, find forever homes, or arrange transports!  We are starting with nothing but love in our hearts to help those who cannot help themselves!  Be a part of our team and become their hero!

Still have Questions?

If you still have questions, feel free to email us at info@mscritters.com!  Please be patient, as we are still an all volunteer organization and are working diligently do a host of things as we prepare to open soon!

About Us

How We're Helping

We are a nonprofit organization focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. With the help of our tireless volunteers, we organize fosters, adoptions, and transports for the homeless animals from the Oxford/Lafayette County community.

Our mission is to provide temporary shelter to stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals for the purpose of finding permanent suitable homes, to promote adoptions, to find foster homes, and to organize transports to reputable animal shelters/rescue groups to help reduce excessive euthanasia with the goal of no-kill (90% live release rate) within our community, provide referrals for low cost spay/neuter services from participating veterinarians, and the humane treatment of animals within our community.

We currently are a foster-based organization, but will be diligently working to raise funding to build a No Kill Shelter for our Community!  Show your support and save lives by becoming a foster home, volunteer, or making a donation to make their dreams come true!
